Jennifer Taft - flute

Jennifer graduated from the Royal College of Music with an advanced Postgraduate Diploma in solo performance, studying flute under the guidance of Celia Chambers and piccolo with Stewart McLlwham. During this time Jennifer played with the BBC Symphony orchestra and the London Symphony Orchestra on their desk-partnership schemes, and was awarded scholarships by the Musicians Benevolent Fund and St. Marylebone Educational Foundation. Undergraduate studies were at Lancaster University, where she received a Bachelor of Music (Hons) degree.
Jennifer has an active freelancing career on an international scale, combining orchestral work with solo and chamber recitals, and also undertaking theatre work, adjudicating and teaching. Her concerts have taken her throughout Europe and to the USA where she appeared as the international artist performing at the NFA Flute Convention showcase. Jennifer has worked with celebrated conductors such as Andrew Litton, Leonard Slatkin and Oliver Knüssen and performed with the London Philharmonic Orchestra Future Firsts at the Purcell Room. Highlighted solo performances have included concerto works by Malcolm Arnold and Mozart and recent recitals at the Victoria and Albert Museum and Winchester Cathedral.
